Like most people I know, I had always lived my life under the misconception that I was “only human.”  While I fully accepted that label, I never realized that it was robbing me of my best life because it was the excuse for constant overwhelms mistakes, poor choices, economic disasters, sicknesses, bad relationships and family stress.

Being “only human” became the catch all for living a hectic life of impossible challenges with blinders on and not realizing my dreams.  I was physically, mentally, emotionally or financially drained and I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Have you ever felt like that?

One day I was finally struck down in my tracks by a serious meltdown that landed me in a hospital where I was forced to look at how I was living my life.  My best friend had deserted me, my real estate career had me on a short leash, my family was falling apart and the only solution the doctors offered me was a drug that was first cousin to morphine.

I was literally at the end of my rope when I met my first spiritual teacher.  Her name was Carmelia and she was an angel who paid an earthly visit because she loved me and wanted to help.  She had a kind face but a crackly voice as she begged me to throw away the drugs and to claim that which was my birthright – earth angel status.  “You’ve got to be kidding,” I said.  “I’m no angel.”  “Yes you are,” she said.  “You all are.”

Carmelia asked me to leave the support group I had been clinging to because as long as I clung, I would never get better and my life would continue in the pits.

She also asked me to stop the medication and introduced me to an herbal remedy that not only had no side effects, but turned the illness completely around in about six weeks.  I’m talking about totally healing manic-depression here, an illness from which I had suffered for almost 20 years.

Not only was I shocked at her requests, I was also full of a hundred earthly questions that afternoon.  We talked for almost three hours.  She explained to me that healing was part of the basic laws of the universe.  She then proceeded to tell me how it all worked.

It was a difficult concept for me to grasp in l989 but today with documentaries like The Secret, What the Bleep do we Know and You Can Heal your Life the concept has not only gone global but is more widely accepted than ever.  It is the concept of Pluralism or being one with each other and one with our Beloved Creator.

The concept is not new.  It has been revealed by many spiritual teachers including Jesus who said, “The Father and I are one and you are my brethren.”   In simpler words, if we are his brothers and sisters then we are all one with the Father.

However, Carmelia took it a little further.  She said, “We are co-creative beings through our Oneness with Creator.” We came from the light and will go back to the light and have always had the internal power to co-create everything.

However, an abundant life is created by choice not by accident.  In order to do that we must become aware of our oneness/angelic status and angelic abilities by consciously creating something we can immediately recognize.  Then we can easily claim our status.  “So how do we do it?  How do we create something?” I asked.

Carmelia said, “There are three parts to the creative process.”

*  1) Think about what we want, knowing that our thoughts are already being read by Creator, “Before you call I will answer.”

*  2) Ask for what we want in either spoken/written word (make a list of creations we desire), “Knock and it shall be open to you.”

*  3) Put the wheels into motion through physical action and creative visualization, “Seek and ye shall find.”
